# 3072

Follow the doubling ladder from 3 to 3072. Equal tiles still merge, but the values run 3, 6, 12, 24 and onward instead of starting at 2. This is an equal-tile 2048 variant.

## Play

The playable board loads above these notes when JavaScript is enabled. Choose Start your trail, then use the arrow keys, a swipe or the direction buttons.

## The rules of 3072

- Board: sixteen cells in four rows and four columns.
- New tiles: 3s (90%) and 6s (10%).
- Merges: Double equal numbers; 3 + 3 makes 6, and 6 + 6 makes 12.
- Goal: reach 3072.
- A blocked move does not add a tile or count as a move.

## Read one move

A left move transforms this row as shown, before the next tile appears elsewhere on the board:

```
Before: 3 3 6 .
After:  6 6 . .
```

Each tile can merge once per move. A tile just created by a merge cannot immediately join another tile during the same swipe.

## A useful first exercise

A 3 and a 6 cannot merge. Read the numbers before moving; the familiar tile pictures represent progress ranks, not a replacement for the printed values. The controls and board size stay the same.

Try translating a Classic example by multiplying every tile by 1.5. Its positions and legal merges carry over; its score and winning value use the new number ladder.

## Controls and saved rounds

Choose Start your trail, then use arrow keys, board swipes or the four direction buttons. Trail tip suggests a legal direction without changing the board. End round records an early stop; after an ending, New trail prepares another attempt. Your unfinished round and this mode's best score stay in this browser when storage is available. Changing a theme does not change a tile.
